Welcome to our three level rural, live-work, self-directed artist residency. We are nestled in the hamlet of Ennismore, Ontario, Canada just 90 minutes north east of Toronto. The Laneway provides an engaging atmosphere and comfortable space for makers to explore, recharge, research, have time to connect with your creativity and strengthen their practice. We encourage emerging and professional solo, collectives and collaborating partners of all artistic disciplines to experience the unique opportunity our rural artistic retreat offers.

Artists in Residence have access to professional studios, a wood shop and the grounds as well as nearby facilities offered by local centres such as, Artspace's media lab, the Kawartha Potters' Guild, Art Gallery of Peterborough's printing press and the Ennismore Arts Centre's performance hall. We can accommodate up to three self-directed Artists in Residence at a time, each artist is supplied a private bedroom with a writing space and separate studio, for a duration of one week to two months.

We are committed to supporting cultural, artistic exchange and understand the importance of having a flexible space and artistic community. During your time at Laneway Residency, we foster a sense of community through shared dinners, gallery tours, artist talks and in house concerts. We strive to support local farmers and encourage community initiatives from performance to workshops.
